El Diablo


  • 2 oz reposado tequila
  • Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • 1-2 tbsp crème de cassis
  • Ginger beer
  • Lime zest


Combine tequila, lime juice and crème de cassis in a large lowball glass. Fill with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lime zest.

Hot Rum Coffee


  • 2 cups hot coffee
  • 1/2 cup heated heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cups amber rum
  • Grated chocolate for garnish


Mix coffee, half-and-half, sugar, cardamom and nutmeg. Add 3 tsp of rum to a mug then add coffee mixture. Stir gently and top with grated chocolate. Serve immediately.

Sapphire Spice


  • 2 parts Bombay Sapphire gin
  • 1 large heaping spoonful of pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 dash of vanilla extract (7 drops)
  • 2 dashes of ground cinnamon


Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice and strain into chilled martini glasses, then top with nutmeg.

Maple Rye Sour


  • 2 oz rye whiskey
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 oz maple syrup
  • 1/4 oz Luxardo Amaro Abano liqueur
  • Strip of lemon or orange peel


Combine whiskey, juices, syrup and liqueur in a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and cover. Shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a chilled rocks glass and garnish with lemon or orange peel.
